"They just tased him. They started firing": Mission woman speaks out after brother killed in officer-involved shooting
EDITOR'S NOTE: This story has been updated to correct an error.
The family of the man shot and killed by police in Mission on Sunday spoke to Channel 5 News about what happened.
The Mission Police Department said they shot a man who moved toward them with a knife.
Three days later, the bullet holes are still present. Blood stains the family's couch, which now sits outside the home.
Inside is where 39-year-old Juan Osornio died. For his sister, Blanca Osornio, the questions are still there as well.
"They didn't announce themselves; they have not given us any explanation. We're trying to do our own investigations of why, who called the police, but we're just still waiting for answers, we're waiting for answers," Blanca said.
A camera next door to the home was recording around midnight on Sunday and shows police activity outside. Sounds like knocking or banging on a door could be heard in the video, followed by what sounds like a voice.
In a statement sent Sunday morning, Mission police said officers were responding to reports of a person in a "high-stress situation."

Police claim a man armed with a knife moved toward them and someone else. That's when officers fired their weapons. A knife was also recovered at the scene.
Blanca wasn't at home when the incident happened, but her mother was. Blanca said her mother's account of those moments is different.
"My mom and my brother were sitting on this couch as they did every night before she went to bed," Blanca said.
That's when they heard a loud knock. Blanca said her mother got up and opened the door.
"My brother was behind her and it was like the police, Mission PD, all of a sudden, my brother is tased. There was no commands or anything, they just tased him. He pushed my mom out of the way because he didn't want her to get hurt. Then they started firing at my brother," Blanca said.
The Mission Police Department released a statement on Wednesday, Aug. 19.
"Police officers frequently respond to situations that are tense, unpredictable and rapidly evolving. In these circumstances, officers may be required to make split-second decisions based on the actions of a suspect and the circumstances confronting them. In connection with the recent officer-involved shooting, every action taken during the incident must be carefully examined to determine whether those actions were consistent with the law and the authority vested in our officers. There is no doubt that this incident is devasting for all those affected."
And there's another question the family wants answered, who called police?
"They haven't said. They haven't confirmed that it was from here. My mom's phone is here, nobody called," Blanca said.
Mission police told Channel 5 News they plan to release more information about the shooting either Tuesday or Wednesday.
The six officers who responded to the incident were placed on administrative leave following protocol.
Blanca wants people to know who her brother was before Sunday morning. He was the youngest in the family, months away from his 40th birthday.
"He was a good-hearted person, young man, and he was my little brother," Blanca said.
Blanca says after their father died nearly two years ago, her brother stayed to help care for their mother.
"It was beautiful. He was always there, trying to cater for her and everything," Blanca said.
Blanca says even after what happened, her mother just wants answers. She doesn't hold anger toward the police department.
"They took us to the Mission Police Department, and as we were walking out from the police department, my mom told them, 'I know it was an error. I forgive you. You know, there's a God. I forgive you,'" Blanca said.
The family also had a message to police.
"It was an error, I think it was an error, that it was bad training on the officers," Blanca said.
