The San Benito Police Department arrested two men on Friday after executing a narcotics search warrant at a home in the Bent Tree Subdivision, according to a news release.

The San Benito Police Department SWAT team and Special Investigations unit, assisted by the Cameron County Sheriff's Office SWAT team, carried out the warrant at the 32000 block of Jacaranda St. around 4 p.m. Friday.

According to the release, officers seized 2.14 pounds of marijuana, 23 grams of cocaine and 471 grams of THC in the form of electronic smoking devices.

Officers arrested Rolando Cantu and Josue Maldonado, both San Benito residents, on charges related to narcotics sales and distribution in connection with the raid.

Both men face charges of manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, as well as a charge of a minor possessing tobacco products.

Cantu and Maldonado were taken to the San Benito Police Department for processing and arraignment.
