WESLACO - District football races continue to take shape as the regular season comes to the final two weeks. The winner of Saturday night's game in Brownsville between San Benito and Hanna will have the 32-6A lead to themselves. PSJA and Vela play on Thursday in week ten for the top spot in 31-6A. That game will also claim another Valley unbeaten, and reduce this year's number to three. Both PSJA and Vela are 8-0. McAllen Memorial and Rowe are both 4-0 in 30-6A, and pointing towards a week 11 showdown that could decide which school claims the district trophy.
Mission Veterans and Brownsville Veterans have both established one game leads in the Valley's two 5A districts.
