Local Church’s Annual Event Disrupted Due to Mix-Up with City

PROGRESO – A Rio Grande Valley woman says a mix-up with the city of Progreso caused issues for her church’s annual event.
The event, which was hosted at Progreso City Park, helps children in need.
The co-pastor of the church, Maria Morales, says she received the permit to host the five-day event in the park’s pavilion.
When they arrived at the park, the restrooms weren’t available.
KRGV’s Trason Bragg reached out to the city of Progreso for answers.
A representative tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS the restrooms were closed due to repairs.
