SEBASTIAN – Flood relief is on its way to Sebastian, where several neighborhoods are still underwater following the recent storms.

Francisca P. Gonzalez says it’s been a process cleaning her home in Sebastian for a few weeks.

Gonzalez says the storms were a horrible time for her and her husband, who is a disabled veteran.

"It took a day for the water to go down; I wanted to come home but it was filled with water," she says.

Gonzalez says now her home has a risk of mold forming; she wants to know who is going to help her out with recovery.

CHANNEL 5 NEWS reached out to the County Emergency Services Coordinator, Frank Torres.

Torres says help is on the way for people in Sebastian and other parts of the county.

On Thursday, more than a dozen non-profit groups will be at a multi-agency resource center.

It will be located at 3rd street and Palmetto in Sebastian at the Tabernacle Church from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

“There will be a lot of guidance there; there will be a lot of assistance there and they'll be able to guide you through all the red tape that's available," says Torres.

He says in order to receive help, resident must provide a proof of residency in Willacy County such as a utility bill.
