Valley Veteran Concerned Temperatures Affecting Medication
WESLACO - A veteran is concerned his medication is spending too much time in the heat.
James Crowe says it's being delivered to his doorstep and he's worried sun exposure could be damaging.
He uses different types of medication for his eyes and the labels indicate they shouldn't be exposed to temperatures higher than 80 degrees.
Crowe wants to make sure his eye drops are doing their job.
CHANNEL 5 NEWS reached out to the VA to ask about the medications being shipped to Crowe’s home.
A spokesperson tells us the medicine does not need to be kept at those temperatures until after its first opened.
