NEAR ALAMO – One person is in custody after a failed human smuggling attempt Thursday morning.

The incident ended along Anaya and Border roads near Alamo.

The Department of Public Safety says a total of six people were in the vehicle.

Five of those people who are believed to be in the country illegally were turned over to Border Patrol.

The driver, a 21-year-old woman, was arrested.
