Edinburg Police Continue Triple Murder-Suicide Investigation
EDINBURG – Police believe the incident that left four people dead in Edinburg was a murder-suicide situation.
The four bodies were found inside an apartment complex at the corner of 9th and Kuhn streets Tuesday.
A toddler was also found inside the home unharmed. Investigators have not revealed which person was the shooter.
In a statement the Edinburg Police Department said:
"The Edinburg Police Department wants our community to know we are continuing to work hard to get the answers they deserve. At this moment in the investigation, it is believed what occurred on December 10th, was a triple homicide that ended with the suspect committing suicide. This is still sensitive and complex and will be investigated to the fullest as we do with every investigation. Investigators are exhausting every lead and examining every piece of evidence to get answers as to why this tragic incident occurred. Our number one priority is, and remains, the safety of our community. We will work with our community and stay vigilant. The Edinburg Police Department is here for them and will continue to keep them informed."
Authorities continue to investigate; no names have been released at this time.
