HARLINGEN – Production for a Christmas film set to be released next year is going on in Downtown Harlingen.

The film “Gift of an Angel” highlights immigration issues at the southern U.S. border.

It will feature Hollywood celebrities Alyssa Milano and Cristian de la Fuente.

Some Valley residents will also be getting their time in the spotlight with a chance to be extras.

A producer with the film explained why Harlingen was chosen for the movie’s location.
