Necessary maintenance on La Grulla’s raw-water pumping facilities, high demand, and low system pressure have caused the city to activate emergency water conservation measures, according to a social media post.

The stage five emergency water conservation measures are effective immediately, the city said in a Friday post.

“Residents are asked to discontinue all use until further notice. This includes lawn watering, vehicle washing, filling pools, and other unnecessary water use,” the city said. “Please remember that the Boil Water Notice remains in effect for customers north of U.S. Highway 83. We ask all residents and businesses to please cooperate during this temporary emergency so our water system can recover and essential services can be maintained.”

Those with any questions are urged to contact the city at 956-487-3341.
