WASHINGTON, D.C. – The inauguration is days away and the National Mall is abuzz with construction crews getting the nation’s capital ready to welcome the 45th president.

Concrete barricades and stadium seating is set up at different locations stretching from the capitol to the White House.

Different security measures are being taken and being reviewed. Hundreds of people are doing their part for the ceremony. 

The D.C. Department of Homeland Security said they’re expecting upwards of 900,000 people to fill D.C. streets on Friday.

Vendors are beginning to fill the streets and getting their merchandise ready. Melissa Rose from Wisconsin said she’s seeking a few souvenirs.

There are a mixture of Donald Trump supporters and those that aren’t a fan of his. A cab driver openly said he didn’t support the president-elect.

But others, like a Marine veteran nicknamed Mohawk, said he supported the future commander-in-chief.

The security teams, workers, vendors and the public will continue to wait in anticipation for Friday’s ceremony.
