Palmview Police Install Carbon Monoxide Detectors in Units

PALMVIEW – The Palmview Police Department have added carbon monoxide detectors to their Ford units.

The installation comes in the wake of thousands of complaints nationwide linked to carbon monoxide poisoning in police vehicles.

Some complaints in Austin were forced to scale back their use of 400 Ford Explorers.

Palmview police has five Explorers in their fleet.

Chief Christopher Barrera said testing their units have yielded negative results.
