The weekly fishing report as compiled for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for April 10 and also available on the internet at http://www.txfishing.com :

CENTRAL

AUSTIN: Water lightly stained; 69-76 degrees; 0.74 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs, Senkos and chatterbaits. Sunfish are fair on red wigglers and corn. Catfish are fair to good on cut or live baitfish and nightcrawlers.

BASTROP: Water stained; 61-65 degrees. Black bass are good on red/white spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait, liver, shrimp, and minnows. Yellow catfish are slow.

BELTON: Water stained; 62-66 degrees; 1.20 feet high. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastics and crankbaits. Hybrid striper are fair on live shad. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows under lights at night. Channel and blue catfish are good on shrimp and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

BROWNWOOD: Water stained; 58-62 degrees; 0.11 feet high. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and white or shad Li'l Fishies in 5-12 feet. Channel catfish are good on juglines and trotlines baited with cheesebait and cut shad. Blue catfish are good on juglines baited with prepared baits in 15-20 feet Yellow catfish are slow.

BUCHANAN: Water stained; 59-63 degrees; 2.03 feet low. Black bass are good on green pumpkin soft plastics, Rat-L-Traps, and black/blue Whacky Sticks on jigheads along ledges in 12-20 feet. Striped bass are good jigging chartreuse striper jigs, trolling crankbaits, and drifting live bait in 20-30 feet. White bass are fair on Pirk Minnows, Shad Raps, and live bait. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

CANYON LAKE: Water stained; 58-62 degrees; 0.06 feet high. Black bass are fair on black/chartreuse hair jigs, Texas rigged grape Scoundrel worms, and suspending jerkbaits on shaky jigheads. Striped bass are good vertically jigging Pirk Minnows and Spoiler Shads. White bass are fair jigging Blade Baits along the main river channel at mid lake in 40 feet. Smallmouth bass are very good on smoke/red flake tubes and tomato red drop shot worms over rock piles in 12-25 feet. Crappie are good on minnows and crappie jigs upriver. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

COLEMAN: Water stained; 60-64 degrees; 0.21 feet low. Black bass are good on chartreuse soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. Hybrid striper are fair on silver striper jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and pink tube jigs. Channel catfish are good on nightcrawlers, shrimp, and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLORADO RIVER: (At Colorado Bend State Park) No report available.

FAYETTE: Water stained. Black bass are fair on green pumpkin Carolina rigged soft plastics off points. Channel and blue catfish are fair on shrimp.

GRANBURY: Water stained; 59-63 degrees; 0.05 feet low. Black bass are fair on green pumpkin soft plastics and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Catfish are fair on frozen shrimp, liver, and stinkbait.

GRANGER: Water stained; 58-62 degrees; 2.84 feet high. Black bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

LBJ: Water stained; 61-65 degrees; 0.78 feet low. Black bass are very good on buzzbaits and weightless watermelon red Whacky Sticks along laydowns and stumps on creek points. Striped bass are good on shad colored crankbaits and Li'l Fishies at night. White bass are good on Li'l Fishies at night. Crappie are good on live minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are good on minnows and worms. Yellow and blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait.

NAVARRO MILLS: Water stained; 60-64 degrees; 0.87 feet high. Black bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

PROCTOR: Water stained; 62-66 degrees; 0.12 feet high. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on live shad in 20-30 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

SOMERVILLE: Water murky; 63-67 degrees; 0.88 feet high. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

STILLHOUSE HOLLOW: Water stained; 62-66 degrees; 0.69 feet high. Black bass are good on green pumpkin soft plastics and spinnerbaits. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on minnows and shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.

TRAVIS: Water stained; 61-65 degrees; 0.13 feet high. Black bass are good on watermelon soft plastic worms, green pumpkin flukes, and crawfish crankbaits in 5-20 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on white grubs and gold jigging spoons. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on shrimp and fresh cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

WALTER E. LONG: Water stained. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastics and Rat-L-Traps. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

WHITNEY: Water stained; 60-64 degrees; 3.34 feet low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse spinnerbaits and Carolina rigged soft plastics in 10-25 feet. Striped bass are fair drifting live bait in 20-35 feet. White bass are fair on Pirk Minnows and slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles. Catfish are slow.

NORTHEAST

ATHENS: Water clear; 65-71 degrees; 0.69 feet high. Black bass are good on black buzzbaits, swimjigs and Texas rigged craws. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on trotlines.

BENBROOK: Water stained; 64-69 degrees; 0.43 feet high. Black bass are fair on squarebill crankbaits, shakeyhead worms and Flukes. Crappie are fair on minnows. White bass are good on slabs. Catfish are good on trotlines.

BOB SANDLIN: Water stained; 65-70 degrees; 0.90 feet high. Black bass are good on weightless Senkos, spinnerbaits and Texas rigged creature baits. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

BONHAM: Water lightly stained; 64-69 degrees; 0.15 feet low. Black bass are good on Texas rigged worms, hollow body frogs, and shakeyhead worms. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

BRIDGEPORT: Water lightly stained; 65-70 degrees: 0.09 feet high. Black bass are good on squarebill crankbaits, shakeyhead worms and Texas rigged craws. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are good on slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

CADDO: Water lightly stained; 69-73 degrees; 1.95 feet high. Black bass are good on Texas rigged creature baits, white buzzbaits and hollow body frogs. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

CEDAR CREEK: Water lightly stained; 66-70 degrees, 0.11 feet high. Black bass are fair on shakeyhead worms, squarebill crankbaits and Texas rigged creature baits. Crappie are good on minnows and white jigs. Catfish are fair on trotlines. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are good on slabs.

COOPER: Water stained; 66-72 degrees; 0.24 feet high. Black bass are fair on weightless Senkos, Texas rigged craws and spinnerbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Hybrid striper and white bass are good on slabs.

EAGLE MOUNTAIN: Water lightly stained; 65-70 degrees; 0.18 feet high. Black bass are good on spinnerbaits, shakeyhead worms, and shallow crankbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

FAIRFIELD: Water lightly stained. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged creature baits, Flukes and swimjigs. No report on other species.

FORK: Water lightly stained; 68-72 degrees; 0.01 feet high. Black bass are slow on Texas rigged craws, hollow body frogs and weightless Senkos. White and yellow bass are good on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on trotlines.

GRAPEVINE: Water stained; 65-69 degrees; 0.19 feet high. Black bass are fair on squarebill crankbaits, shakeyhead worms and Texas rigged craws. White bass and hybrid bass are good on minnows. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines.

JOE POOL: Water stained; 66-71 degrees; 0.15 feet high. Black bass are good on spinnerbaits, Texas rigged craws and Flukes. White bass are good on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

WRIGHT PATMAN: Water stained; 67-72 degrees; 5.45 feet high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged craws, hollow body frogs and spinnerbaits. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

SOUTH

AMISTAD: Water stained; 64-68 degrees; 22.74 feet low. Black bass are fair on Senkos, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and soft plastic lizards in 10-25 feet. Striped bass are fair on slabs, crankbaits, and Sassy Shad. White bass are fair on slabs and Li'l Fishies. Catfish are good on prepared baits over baited holes. Yellow catfish are slow. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

BRAUNIG: Water stained. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are fair on silver striper jigs. Redfish are slow. Channel catfish are fair on shrimp and live bait near the dam. Blue catfish are slow.

CALAVERAS: Water stained. Black bass are good on green pumpkin soft plastics and crankbaits near the dam. Striped bass are good on spoons and jigs near the dam. Redfish are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on liver, shrimp, and cheesebait. Yellow catfish are slow.

CHOKE CANYON: Water stained; 62-66 degrees; 14.00 feet low. Black bass are good on green pumpkin soft plastic worms and lizards, and on jigs over grass. White bass are fair on Li'l Fishies and Rapalas. Crappie are slow. Drum are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait and shrimp. Yellow catfish are fair on live perch.

COLETO CREEK: Water stained; 64 degrees in the main lake, 90 degrees at the hot water discharge, 67-71 degrees in main lake; 0.16 feet high. Black bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on cut bait and shrimp in 8-10 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

CORPUS CHRISTI LAKE: Water off color; 69-76 degrees; 0.05 feet high. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs, 6-inch Yum Dingers and Rattlin' Rogues. White bass are fair on slabs. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and live or dead shad.

FALCON: Water stained; 63-67 degrees; 25.52 feet low. Black bass are good on green pumpkin soft plastics and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on frozen shrimp and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

TEXANA: Water stained; 69-77 degrees; 0.49 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs, chatterbaits and red lipless crankbaits. Crappie are slow to fair on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

SOUTHEAST

CONROE: Water stained; 61-65 degrees; 0.16 feet low. Black bass are good on pumpkinseed soft plastic worms and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are fair on silver striper jigs. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are slow.

GIBBONS CREEK: Water stained. Black bass are good on chartreuse soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair on minnows and pink tube jigs. Catfish are good on liver, cut bait, and stinkbait.

HOUSTON COUNTY: Water stained; 64-68 degrees; 0.57 feet high. Black bass are good on blue/silver soft plastics, swim baits, and crankbaits in coves near the dam. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on live minnows in 15 feet. Bream are good on live minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on juglines baited with perch and shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

LIVINGSTON: Water stained; 61-65 degrees; 0.33 feet high. Black bass are good on chartreuse crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and soft plastics. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on minnows and Li'l Fishies upriver. Crappie are fair on minnows. Blue catfish are good on shrimp and shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

SAM RAYBURN: Water stained; 62-66 degrees; 0.78 feet high. Black bass are fair on Carolina rigged green pumpkin soft plastics and spinnerbaits. White bass are fair on Li'l Fishies and silver spoons. Crappie are slow. Bream are fair on worms. Catfish are good on frozen shrimp, live minnows, and stinkbait.

STEINHAGEN: 0.64 feet low. No report available.

TOLEDO BEND: Water stained; 62-66 degrees; 2.34 feet low. Black bass are good on watermelon spinnerbaits, soft plastics, and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs. Bream are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on liver and hot dogs. Yellow catfish are slow.

PANHANDLE

GREENBELT: Water off color; 57-67 degrees; 36.10 feet low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are fair on live minnows. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

MACKENZIE: Water stained; 56-68 degrees; 78.76 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs, Senkos and squarebill crankbaits. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on cut bait.

MEREDITH: Water fairly clear; 52-65 degrees; 49.03 feet low. No reports on black or smallmouth bass. There are a few reports of walleye being caught on live bait and artificials. Bream are slow. Channel catfish are being caught in limited numbers.

WEST

ALAN HENRY: Water clear main lake and 58 degrees, stained up the river and 62 degrees; 5.87 feet low. Black bass good on Texas rigged Power Worms, shakyheads, jigs, spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Crappie are good on jigs and live minnows. Catfish are fair on minnows and punch bait.

ARROWHEAD: Water stained; 58-66 degrees; 0.07 feet low. Black bass are fair to good in 2-5 feet on Texas rigs and Senkos. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on cut bait and nightcrawlers.

COLORADO CITY: Water fairly clear; 59-67 degrees; 12.85 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs and weightless soft plastics. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

FORT PHANTOM HILL: Water stained; 58-67 degrees; 0.42 feet high. Black bass are fair to good on spinnerbaits, Texas rigs and 5" Yum Dingers in 1-6 feet. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on live and cut bait.

HUBBARD CREEK: Water stained; 58-65 degrees; 0.05 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs and squarebill crankbaits. Crappie are fair on live minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on live and cut bait.

NASWORTHY: Water stained; 61-68 degrees; 0.75 feet low. Black bass are fair on watermelon/red Yum Dingers and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair to good on jigs and live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on stinkbait, live bait and nightcrawlers.

OAK CREEK: Water stained; 59-66 degrees; 0.07 feet high. Black bass are fair on shallow running crankbaits, Texas rigs and finesse jigs. Crappie are fair on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on live and cut bait.

O.H. IVIE: Water stained; 58-67 degrees; 15.88 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs and shakyheads. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on cut and live bait.

POSSUM KINGDOM: Water fairly clear; 63-69 degrees; 0.12 feet high. Black bass are fair on shakyheads, Texas rigs and watermelon red Senkos. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows with a split shop. White bass are fair to good on tail spinners. Striped bass are fair to good on live shad. Catfish are fair to good on live and cut bait.

SPENCE: Water off color; 59-67 degrees; 36.55 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs in 1-6 feet. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows under a cork. Catfish are fair on cut bait and nightcrawlers.

STAMFORD: Water stained to muddy; 58-65 degrees; 0.52 feet high. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs and chrome Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair on live minnows. White bass are fair on slabs. Blue catfish are fair on cut and live bait.

SWEETWATER: Water stained; 57-68 degrees; 0.15 feet high. This lake is currently experiencing a fish kill due to golden alga. Biologists are monitoring the situation and will post updates as they become available. Fish populations have been substantially reduced by the golden alga blooms.

WHITE RIVER: Water stained; 55-67 degrees; 23.58 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs and shallow running crankbaits. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows. Catfish are good on cut and live bait.

COASTAL

NORTH SABINE: Trout are fair to good on the Louisiana shoreline on topwaters and Corkies. Flounder are fair on jigs tipped with shrimp around marsh drains.

SOUTH SABINE: Sheepshead, speckled trout, redfish and black drum are good at the jetty on live shrimp. Trout are fair to good around Blue Buck Point on topwaters and live shrimp. Trout are good while drifting the reefs.

BOLIVAR: Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on soft plastics and plugs. Black drum and redfish are good at Rollover Pass.

TRINITY BAY: Trout are fair on the far northwest end of the bay. Redfish are fair in the marsh on shrimp. Trout are fair to good for waders working shell on Corkies.

EAST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on MirrOlures and Down South Lures. Whiting and sand trout are good on the edge of the Intracoastal on fresh shrimp. Black drum are fair to good in the Ship Channel on crabs.

WEST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair to good for drifters working shell on live shrimp. Trout, sheepshead, redfish and black drum are good at the jetty on shrimp and croakers. Redfish are good in the back lakes on shrimp and Gulps.

TEXAS CITY: Redfish are fair to good in Moses Lake on shrimp. Trout are fair to good on the reefs on live shrimp.

FREEPORT: Trout are fair at San Luis Pass on live bait. Sand trout, trout, redfish and sheepshead are good on live shrimp on the reefs in Christmas Bay and at the jetties.

EAST MATAGORDA BAY: Trout are fair for drifters over deep shell and over humps on the west end on live shrimp. Redfish are good on the shell on the north shoreline on live shrimp.

WEST MATAGORDA BAY: Redfish are fair to good on the edge of Oyster Lake on shrimp and crabs. Black drum and redfish are fair to good at the jetty on crabs. Trout are good for waders over sand and grass on Bass Assassins and Down South Lures.

PORT O'CONNOR: Trout and redfish are fair on soft plastics over sand and grass near Grass Island. Trout and redfish are fair for drifters working the back lakes with live shrimp. Trout and redfish are good at the jetty on croakers and mullet.

ROCKPORT: Trout are fair to good in Morris-Cummings Cut on free-lined shrimp. Black drum are good in the Lydia Ann Channel on crabs. Redfish are fair to good on the Estes Flats on mullet and crabs.

PORT ARANSAS: Redfish are fair to good at East Flats on gold spoons and topwaters. Black drum are good in the Shrimpboat Channel on crabs and finger mullet. Redfish, trout and sheepshead are fair to good at the jetty on shrimp.

CORPUS CHRISTI: Trout are fair to good on the edge of the spoils on Gulps and live shrimp. Black drum and redfish are fair to good in the Packery Channel on crabs. Trout are fair to good over shell in Nueces Bay.

BAFFIN BAY: Trout are fair to good at the Tide Gauge on Bass Assassins, Gamblers and Down South Lures. Black drum are good in the Land Cut on crabs. Trout are fair to good in the Land Cut on live shrimp and DOA Shrimp.

PORT MANSFIELD: Trout are fair to good on topwaters around sand and grass on She Pups, Super Spook Jrs. and SkitterWalks. Redfish are fair to good while drifting pot holes. Black drum and redfish are good on crabs at East Cut.

SOUTH PADRE: Trout are good around the spoil islands, channel edges and color changes on DOA Shrimp and live shrimp. Black drum, redfish and jack crevalle are good at the jetty on mullet and shrimp.

PORT ISABEL: Trout and redfish are fair to good at Gas Well Flats on live shrimp. Redfish and snook are fair in South Bay on DOA Shrimp and live shrimp. Trout are good on the flats on live shrimp and plastics under popping corks.
