WESLACO – Texas residents have until Tuesday, Oct. 9 to register to vote in the mid-term elections.

Voters must be a U.S. citizen, must not have felony convictions and must be 18 years of age by Election Day, Nov. 6.

KRGV’s Cecilia Gutierrez spoke with Cameron County Elections Administrator Remi Garza about what will be on the ballot.

"They'll get a chance to vote on their U.S. senator, the governor or the county judge, as well as other offices in the Supreme Court and the appeals court,” says Garza.

To register, visit your county’s elections office, which will remain open until 7:00 p.m., or mail in a ballot by Oct. 9.
