TSA Asks Agents to Volunteer to Aid in Immigration Surge

WESLACO – Another federal agency is lending a hand along the southern border.

The Transportation Security Administration confirms their agents are heading south.

In a statement, the agency says they are supporting Department of Homeland Security in the humanitarian and security crisis.

They are asking TSA agents to volunteer and say it will have minimal impact on air travel.

CHANNEL 5 NEWS is told less than 600 will be assigned.
