UTRGV Athletics has started construction on a brand new tennis complex that will serve as the new home for the Vaqueros.

The complex is set to be completed in 2027 and is part of nearly $200 million in construction and renovations across all 18 UTRGV sports programs in projects completed and in progress since 2021.

The tennis teams believe the new complex will give them extra confidence on and off the courts.

"A big announcement for us. Big for our current student athletes, big for our coaches and certainly big for perspective student athletes and future recruits that will bring to UTRGV. We're really excited for our athletics department but we're really excited for our men's and women's tennis programs," UTRGV Director of Athletics and Senior VP Chasse Conque said.
