Valley Counties to Request FEMA Assistance
WESLACO – South Texas counties, including those in the Rio Grande Valley, are working to request public assistance.
Hidalgo, Cameron and Willacy counties are planning to ask the Federal Emergency Management Agency to cover damages to public facilities, infrastructure and equipment caused by last month’s flooding.
According to the Hidalgo County Office for Emergency Management, the counties have to reach a certain threshold in order to qualify for aid.
