Valley Doctor from Syria Reacts to Attacks on Homeland
EDINBURG - American troops leaving Syria is creating mixed feelings across the nation and in the Rio Grande Valley.
The decision hits close to home for a Valley oncologist from Syria.
Dr. Ghanem Daghestani was able to leave Syria because he had a French passport.
He tells us he may not know what's next for his homeland, or who may want to control it next.
"In the name of our personal interests when we go in any country it should not be in our personal interests it should be in the name of justice,” says Dr. Daghestani.
