ARANSAS PASS – A couple Rio Grande Valley restaurants made the trip to Aransas Pass to help those in need.  

Ranch House Burgers Restaurant staff, as well as Spaugy's Ice House, joined volunteers Tuesday to provide chicken dinners and drinks to first responders and anyone else in the area who was in need.

A crew of twelve stayed busy and handed out more than 800 meals.  

Those involved in handing out the food said they would hope someone would help them out if they were in need.

"We're Texans and we have to help each other out," said Nyssa Sanchez with Ranch House Burgers.  "It could have been us."

Sanchez said another crew will be going back Friday to provide food, drink and supplies.
