Vipers Take Shootout In Hidalgo

HIDALGO – In a game that saw two D-League teams combine for over 300 points, the RGV Vipers outgunned the Santa Cruz Warriors 155-148 Monday night.

Three Vipers finished with double-doubles. Gary Payton II led the Vipers with 30 points and  12 rebounds. Teammate Darius Morris tallied 29 points and 14 assists, while Rockets assignee Kyle Wilter shined in his return to the RGV with 26 points and 10 rebounds.

The Vipers (15-8) conclude their three-game homestand Wednesday night when the Sioux Falls Skyforce come to town. Tipoff is scheduled for 7PM at State Farm Arena.
