Volunteers and sponsors needed for Salvation Army's annual Angel Tree drive
Cameron County, TX (KRGV) — The Salvation Army of Cameron County needs sponsors for its Angel Tree program and volunteers for red kettle bell ringing and Angel Tree distribution events.
The annual program lets people buy presents for children in need. This year, the organization added 50 more family slots for a total of 150.
“I'm hoping that we can see a lot more because I know there's a lot more need in our area,” The Salvation Army of Cameron County Commanding Officer Capt. Whitney Houston said.
The organization wants to add hundreds of more slots next year.
