WIC Offices Open for Services despite Government Shutdown
SAN BENITO – Cameron County officials say all 12 Women, Infants and Children (WIC) offices will remain open despite the government shutdown.
Cameron County health administrator Esmeralda Guajardo says the recent confusion has led to a decrease in the number of patients visiting the clinic.
She explains the program is federally funded but there is enough to last until the end of January.
