Cameron Co. Preparing for Forecasted Storm System

BROWNSVILLE – A slow-moving line of drivers waited outside a Cameron County warehouse to claim sandbags to protect their homes.
Cameron County Judge Eddie Trevino says the county is preparing to get anywhere from one to four inches of rain, even more in some areas, within the next few days.
He says the county is waiting with public entities such as schools and the American Red Cross to determine any course of action necessary.
Trevino added the June floods caught many off-guard. The county isn’t taking any chances with the forecasted storm system.
