Delta-9 products seized in Los Fresnos smoke shop raid, investigation ongoing

Law enforcement raided a Los Fresnos smoke shop and seized products containing illegal levels of THC, according to the Cameron County District Attorney's Office.
Multiple agencies were involved in the operation that happened Monday at Fadi's Smoke Shop in Los Fresnos on Highway 100.
Channel 5 News was at the scene when officers arrived at the shop.
Authorities seized an unknown number of delta-9 THC products from the store.
"Stores can sell hemp products, so long as the definition of hemp is that it doesn't have greater than 0.3% of delta-9 THC," Edward Sandoval with the DA’s office said. "These products that were being sold were above the statutory threshold."
Investigators are working to determine the store owner's level of involvement.
