Local Jeweler Speaks about Daily Safety Measures

MCALLEN – A local jeweler believes the security measures he takes at his shop have prevented robbery attempts.

KRGV’s John Paul Barajas spoke with Shannon Curry, owner of Shannon’s Fine Jewelers.

He’s been selling jewelry in McAllen for 17 years.

Curry says the first thing that crossed his mind when he heard about the robbery attempt at Deutsch & Deutsch was the security.

“The place in the mall has had problems a lot because of their open door. They have that big wide door,” says Curry.
