New RGV Sector Chief Gives First State of the Border Address
MISSION – The newly-selected Rio Grande Valley Sector Chief Rodolfo Karisch revealed challenges and future plans in his first State of the Border address.
The event was held at the Mission Event Center Friday.
Chief Karisch addressed local community leaders including government organizations and law enforcement partners on issues affecting the Valley.
"Fiscal year to date, we have apprehended more than 80,000 people illegally crossing out border and seized more than 50,000 pounds of marijuana.”
Karisch explained when the meetings with land and property owners will start.
