WESLACO – Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is warning about misleading offers for homestead tax exemptions.
People are being told they can receive the designation if they pay a fee; officials say only county governments can approve a homestead tax exemption.
He says they’ve received nearly 100 complaints regarding this.
