Waterpark Co-Owner Behind Bars until Extradition
BROWNSVILLE – The Rio Grande Valley co-owner of a Kansas City waterpark will not oppose his extradition to Kansas, where a 10-year-old boy died on a waterslide.
For now, Schlitterbahn Waterpark co-owner Jeffery Wayne Henry will remain in the Cameron County Jail without bond.
On Wednesday, a judge ruled Kansas must make the arrangements to transfer Henry to the state.
In an indictment out of Kansas, Henry is charged with murder, aggravated battery and child endangerment.
The charges stem from the Aug. 2016 death of Caleb Schwab.
Henry will be held in Cameron County until next week.
