2018 Drug Take Back Surpasses Last Year’s Total
WESLACO – Thousands of pounds of prescription drugs are in safe hands after a drug take back event held by the DEA.
A spokesperson with the agency tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS last Saturday, more than 2,200 pounds of prescription drugs were returned in Hidalgo County alone.
The DEA says this year’s total is more than last year’s when they collected over 1,900 pounds.
