EDINBURG – An indicted Rio Grande Valley homebuilder had his court reset this week.

So far, eight victims have filed complaints with the court.

Another potential victim says she lost thousands of dollars from a house left unfinished.

Irene Sanchez hired Juan Carlos Carranza, owner of Newmark Custom Homes, in 2017 to build a house in Edinburg, which to this day is incomplete.

Since then, her family found a new home, but want to know if the money they spent will ever come back.

Sanchez wants to be involved in the case.
