SOUTH PADRE ISLAND – Traffic at the Queen Isabella Causeway will be affected as the bridge undergoes maintenance between Aug. 7 and Aug. 9.

The Texas Department of Transportation is asking drivers to respect all traffic cones and barrels that will redirect motor vehicles to an inside lane.

TxDOT will also be redirecting all westbound traffic to the inside lane.

The lane closure will start from 8 a.m. Monday and end on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Drives are urged to slow down while on the causeway.
