Starr County educator faces sexual assault of a child charges
The Starr County Sheriff’s Office has taken over the investigation of an educator facing multiple charges, including improper relationship between educator and student and two counts of sexual assault of a child.
Francisco Contreras Jr. was booked on the charges on Wednesday, according to a booking report from the sheriff’s office. He is currently not listed in the county jail logs.
The investigation was referred to the Starr County Sheriff’s Office in accordance with a recent ruling regarding school district police departments investigating cases involving students, the sheriff’s office said.
