WESLACO - The Better Business Bureau is offering tips for those who are heading out to shop on Black Friday. 

Prepare for large crowds and lines and avoid shopping alone if you can. 

It is also important to understand refund and exchange policies before purchasing. 

"For security reasons, because, just like people are out buying, there are also other people taking advantage of the hustle and bustle. Keep a close eye on your wallet, on your purse, on your packages, everything that you bought," says Dolores Salinas, president of BBB South Texas. 

The BBB also recommends using a credit card on shopping days like this since it will be easier to reverse charges in case of a dispute.
