Weslaco Boil Water Advisory Lifted

UPDATE (9/11): The city of Weslaco announced a boil water advisory has been lifted. 

Samples sent to the TCEQ returned negative. 

WESLACO – Weslaco residents remain under a boil water advisory.

City officials say a water line break at the water plant is to blame.

The city tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS they sent samples to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and should hear back from them Tuesday morning.

Weslaco Independent School District tells us schools who receive water services from the city are providing bottled drinking water.
