Residents at Valley Grande Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Weslaco were evacuated due to a fire.

According to a city spokesperson, the Weslaco Fire Department responded to the scene and was able to prevent the fire from spreading.

The spokesperson said one individual was transported to the hospital for heat-related concerns.

No other injuries were reported.
