Willacy Co. Emergency Shelter to Open Wednesday
NEAR RAYMONDVILLE – An emergency shelter in Willacy County will open Wednesday.
The shelter is located at the intersection of F.M. 490 and Business 77.
Officials say lack of funding caused several delays in completing the work, which was initially scheduled to be complete in 2013.
The building is capable of withstanding wind gusts of up to 200 miles per hour.
