Veterans Cemetery in Mission Receives $1.5M Grant
MISSION – Funding to expand the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission is on the way.
The $1.5 million grant came from the Department of Veterans Affairs.
It’s earmarked to build four additional walls for cremated remains.
A new memorial wall is also in the works.
A representative for the cemetery says construction should begin early next year.
