SAN JUAN – Two people are in custody after San Juan police raided a home they say was being used to sell crack cocaine.

Juan Diego Loredo-Garcia, 37, and Thelma Guadalupe Sosa, 53, were arrested on drug-related charges last Friday.

San Juan Police Chief Juan Gonzalez says narcotics were found during a raid at the home, located on the 600 block of West Mesquite.

He says the raid was the culmination of an investigation that began last November after they received a tip on their crime stoppers line.

“We made six arrests, four arrests since November till now. The four other individuals that got arrested leaving the residence here and that culminated into this final arrest today,” he explains. “We arrested an adult male and an adult female, owners of the residence, that we suspect are the ones that have been selling the controlled substance.”

He says the department is working to discover what, if any, ties the suspects may have to other criminal organizations.
