At Least 1 Dead in Rockport after Harvey
ROCKPORT--At least one person was killed in Rockport, TX after Harvey made landfall as a category four hurricane late Friday.
Rockport Fulton high school's gym was mangled. Dozens of other buildings were damaged. There's no cell service, gas or electricity. It's unknown when cell service or electricity will be back on.
First responders pulled people trapped in their homes. Armando Rodriguez survived the storm in a trailer. Now he's left without a home.
The Aransas County judge and Fulton Mayor said they're getting help from all over the state to clear roads, assess damage and account for citizens.
DPS is sending buses to get people out. There is no estimate of damaged or destroyed structures or people displaced.
