Beautification Project Set to Start at Brownsville Park
BROWNSVILLE - A triple murder in Brownsville became national news about 16-years-ago.
John Allen Rubio and Angela Camacho were convicted of murdering their three children.
The site where the murders happened has now turned into a park.
The Cameron County District Attorney’s Office Crime Victim's Unit and the Brownsville Wellness Coalition have an on-going beautification project at the park.
Together they will be planting fruit trees, herbs, and butterfly plants.
That work is expected to start at 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
The park is located at the corner of Tyler Street and 8th Avenue in Brownsville.
