The man accused of stabbing another man multiple times in Palmview has been arraigned.

Heriberto Cazares was charged on Monday with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and his bond was set at $50,000.

Cazares was arrested in McAllen on Friday, Aug. 14, following a tip about his whereabouts, police said.

According to the Palmview Police Department, Cazares stabbed a friend "multiple times in the torso" following an altercation at the 1000 block of Milagro Lane.

A motive was not available, but police said there was no danger to the public.

The victim was hospitalized in stable condition and has since been released.
