Challenges Border Patrol Agents, Migrants Face in Extreme Conditions

MISSION – Especially in constant 90 degree weather, immigrants and border agents get exposed to thick brush and dirt roads on daily basis.

An area known as Rincon Village near Anzalduas Park is where hundreds of immigrants enter the United States illegally each month.

In the past seven days, Border Patrol Rio Grande Valley Sector Chief Rodolfo Karisch says there have been 12 immigrant deaths in the Valley.

The details on when they died was not released.

The FBI says it may have been due to heat exposure and dehydration.
