WESLACO – A travel warning is in effect for Americans traveling to certain parts of Mexico.

The warning issued by the U.S. State Department includes a ‘Do Not Travel’ advisory for the Mexican state of Tamaulipas.

Several other tourist spots also have travel warnings.

Officials advise all Americans to use caution when in Mexico.
