EDINBURG – An Edinburg man is urging others to use caution after an item of his, which was meant to honor veterans, was stolen.

Noe Pena had his biker vest stolen from his car while it was parked at a restaurant on Saturday.

Pena says the vest represents his family members who served our country and fought for our freedom.

"That vest meant a lot because I got veteran's parade coming up and I always give respect to my brothers and everybody that served in the armed forces. My padrino, may he rest in peace, he's a Korean War, two purple hearts,” he says.

The McAllen police department public information officer says the case is being investigated.

Pena explains he’s offering a cash reward to anyone who returns the vest.

KRGV’s Angelo Vargas has the details.
