A former employee of a Harlingen cancer clinic stole $750,000 from the company, according to the Harlingen Police Department.

Yuliana Perez was arrested Tuesday without incident after an investigation revealed she embezzled from Valley Cancer Associates by diverting company funds to four personal bank accounts between May 2025 and April 2026, police said.

"The fraudulent transactions were concealed by disguising them as legitimate business expenses using vendors with whom the company regularly conducted business," police said.

The Brownsville Police Department assisted in the arrest.

As of Friday, Perez was not listed on the Harlingen Police Department's inmate list.

Channel 5 News reached out to police to ask about Perez's bond information.

"The Harlingen Police Department remains committed to thoroughly investigating financial crimes and holding those responsible accountable under the law," police said.
