EDINBURG – More charges were filed against a former state district judge for Hidalgo County.

The new indictment came down on Wednesday.

In it, Rudy Delgado is charged with obstruction of justice. The indictment states he falsely claimed he mistook a cash bribe as a campaign contribution.

He’s expected to be arraigned on the obstruction charge next week.
