Hidalgo County relocates marriage license services following courthouse crash
The Hidalgo County Clerk's Office has temporarily moved its marriage license services to a new location due to the ongoing closure of the Hidalgo County Courthouse.
The services have relocated to the County Clerk's Records Management Facility at 317 N. Closner Blvd. in Edinburg, two blocks north of the courthouse, according to a news release issued on Wednesday.
The temporary location will remain in operation until further notice.
The county courthouse has been closed since a vehicle crashed into the courthouse entrance late Sunday night.

The Edinburg Police Department identified the driver as 49-year-old Jesus Alaniz Jr. He has been hospitalized in critical condition following the crash, and police said he faces a DWI charge once he’s been medically cleared.
