Hidalgo Man Claims City Employees Dumping Waste near Property
HIDALGO – A local man claims city employees are dumping waste across from his home.
Homero Llanas says he lives across from a drainage canal southeast of Weslaco.
He says he has video of what he believes are Precinct 1 employees dumping waste across the street.
"What happens is people from Precinct 1, come and throws this mess right here; this is unfair," says Llanas.
A spokesperson for Precinct 1, Jose ‘Pepe’ Cabeza de Vaca, said in a statement:
"Because of the recent rains and weather the slush is not ready for pick up, as soon as it is ready we will make sure to pick it up and dispose of it."
Llanas says he will be happy when the dumping ends.
