MCALLEN – Many immigrants who are caught crossing the border illegally are still being released.

In May, Jeff Sessions announced the zero-tolerance policy, stating that those who are caught crossing illegally will be prosecuted.  

The Humanitarian Respite Center in McAllen is at the center of this activity.

KRGV’s Christian Von Preysing made a visit to the center to see why some have been spared.
