EDINBURG – A man charged with engaging in organized criminal activity is behind bars.

According to court records, Jose Luis Garcia intentionally or knowingly engaged in gambling earlier this year out of a place in northern Edinburg near FM 2812.

Records also indicate he paid out money to patrons.

His pretrial is scheduled to take place June 15.

Garcia’s bond was set at $10,000
